The Ordovician-Silurian boundary.

Abstract

The Ordovician-silurian Boundary Working Group has formally defined the basal boundary stratotype for the Silurian System in a section at Dob's Linn near Moffat in the Southern Uplands of Scotland, U.K. The position of the stratotype point coincides with the base of the Parakidograptus acuminatus graptolite Biozone.
