Abstract
A tritium is a radioactive form of hydrogen. Because it is radioactive, its release to the environment must be minimized. Accurately predicting tritium transports in fusion materials and fusion systems heavily depend on a reliable database of hydrogen mass transport properties (e.g., diffusivity, solubility, and permeability) in fusion reactor materials. This article summarizes fundamental kinetics on hydrogen isotope in material and provides recommended mass transport properties (diffusivity, solubility, and permeability) in materials for nuclear application.
