Abstract

There is considerable evidence that sleep supports memory consolidation. Items studied before going to sleep are memorized more efficiently than on other occasions. Consequently, we propose a learning application based on these findings. The system includes an alarm clock, which alarm is set only if a user answers a few questions. We implement a prototype and conduct a field test to evaluate the effectiveness of the system. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
