Abstract

The article analyzes the sociocultural space of the Russian North Caucasian community, which is a complex open system. In the context of strengthening of the Russian (national) identity in the North Caucasus, we aimed to rethink the features of formation and functioning of the modernizing North Caucasian society. Addressing this problem is due to the need to identify the inconsistencies in the identification space of the North Caucasian society, which will allow detecting the possibility of harmonious relationships between the national, regional, and ethno-cultural identities.
