Abstract
The article focuses on the Tools for Outreach and Teaching Series (TOTS) sessions concerning social software at the University of British Columbia (UBC). It notes that the series was established in 2007 in the aim of offering a venue where UBC librarians and library staff can explore new social software tools that they can use in library and in outreach and instruction works. The structure of each two hour sessions under the series is comprised of the speakers, sandbox and discussion.
