Abstract

The so-called moments or generically recognizable phases in the research process, the steps of the hypothetical-deductive method commonly applied in the factual sciences and the classical IMRAD structure of scientific research articles share a common logic. This paper seeks to expose this logic, making evident the links between them and emphasizing the dual role of science both as an activity as well as a product.
