Abstract

The proceedings contain 138 papers. The topics discussed include: Development of evidence-based consensus guidelines for ALS genetic counseling and testing; the ALS MOTOR: A new, objective, telemedicine-based outcome measure to track ALS disease progression; improving speech and swallowing in pALS: Preliminary efficacy of Nuedexta treatment; SBT-272 improved mitochondria structure and function and preserved upper motor neurons with tdp-43 pathology; a retrospective review of racial disparities in initial presentation of ALS patients; high density multi-electrode array recordings in-vitro help investigate upper motor neuron health and connectivity in ALS; and upper motor neurons are target for gene therapy and UCHL1 is necessary and sufficient to improve cellular integrity of diseased upper motor neurons.
