Abstract

Four most basic topics to understand the "Magnetic resonance" wireless power transfer system are discussed, the naming, power transfer efficiency, transferred power and how to connect resonator and external circuit. Emphasis is on the use of 0 ohm power source instead of 50 ohm signal source that is popular among the communication engineers. The misleading name "magnetic resonance" is criticized to give more correct picture of the resonance. © IEICE 2013.
