Turkish Adaptation of the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale IV

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale IV (FACES IV) Questionnaire Package, and also to achieve a valid and reliable assessment tool for the further investigations of the Circumplex Model of Marital and Family Systems in Turkish culture. A total of 1613 (65.4% female, 34.6% male) university students agreed to participate in the study. The construct validity of the FACES IV was examined with confirmatory factor analysis. Also, the convergent validity, criterion-related validity, internal reliability, and test-retest reliability analyses were examined within the scope of validity and reliability studies.
