Abstract
This study aims to empirically investigate the effect of Transformational leadership on organizational culture in the Yemeni public sector. Data were obtained from a survey of 445 employees from public organizations in Hadhramout governorate, Yemen. Sample and multiple regression techniques were employed to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated a significant, direct and positive effect of transformational leadership on organizational culture. Moreover, transformational leadership dimensions, charismatic, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration have a significant, direct and positive effect on organizational culture. The results of this study widen the applicability of Transformational Leadership theory to the public sector organizations’ context by examining transformational leadership as guiding elements that create a better organizational culture. The findings provide insightful implications about how transformational leadership behaviors shape the organizational culture and effectiveness in the Yemeni public sector context. Finally, this study discusses its recommendations and limitations.
