Abstract

This research aims to clarify the nature of modernist interpretation and the trends that branched from it to interpret the Noble Qur'an according to invented rules far from fundamentalist controls, imported Western theories, and outside the constants and consensus of the nation. This research is an overview of this current interpretation, which is considered an infiltration of the nation from within. Let us destroy its structure and demolish its pillars under the slogans of modernity, renewal, and enlightenment. I reviewed some of these trends, their symbols, and their advocates. Then I dealt with one of the feminist interpretations of the Holy Qur'an and reviewed its Western roots, most prominent advocates, pillars, and intellectual foundations. Keywords: modernist interpretation, modernity, enlightenment, feminism, gender, feminist interpretation, deviation in interpretation.
