Abstract

Asphalt that has been cold emulsified has poor primary value and Marshall Resistance. The mechanical qualities of asphalt materials or cold mixture asphalt can be improved with the application of additives. Unheated aggregate, emulsion, or cutback coupled with filler make up a cold combination. While hot mixture asphalt (HMA) combines aggregates and binder in height temperatures (138°C to 160°C), cold mix combines aggregates with emulsion or cutbacks at room temperature (10°C to 30°C). This mixture uses less energy to reduce bitumen viscosity since it is made and applied at lower temperatures than HMA. The advantages of cold mix asphalt have been made clear by and include a decrease in pollution emissions, a removal of the need for asphalt factories because the mixture can be made on-site, a decrease in material transportation costs, and a decrease in waste. This study's goal is to review several types of cold mixtures of asphalt and improve cold mixture emulsion asphalt by using additive materials and nanotechnology techniques.
