Abstract

Direct oxidation of ketone and ester enolates, using 2-sulfonyloxaziridine 1, affords α-hydroxy carbonyl compounds (acyloins) in high yield with excellent stereoselectivity. © 1984, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
