Abstract
Ludwig angina is a rapidly progressing submaxillary, submandibular, and sublingual necrotizing cellulitis of the floor of the mouth that can have lethal consequences due to airway obstruction. Patients with deep neck infections present challenging airways for the consultants. Patients with Ludwig's angina may die as a result of the inability to effectively manage the airway.
