Abstract

In Japan railroad companies play important roles in development area along railways. This study focuses on sites of suburban amusement parks which managed by railway companies as suburban development base and many of them were closed recently. This study aims to reveal three relations. First is the relation between suburban amusement parks and urban planning park or green from the viewpoint of development regulation. Second is the relation between suburban amusement parks and railway, station and surrounding urban area from the viewpoint of TOD. Third is the relation between suburban amusement park and landscape sources from the viewpoint of the succession of nature and history in suburb..
