PERBANDINGAN KEEFEKTIFAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENTS TEAM ACHIEVEMANT DIVISION DAN NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER DITINJAU DARI PRESTASI DAN SIKAP SISWA

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness comparison of mathematics instructions through the Students Team Achievemant Division (STAD) dan Numbered Head Together (NHT) in terms of mathematics achievement and attitude towards. The subject of this research was students of grade VIII SMP N 2 Pudong. Two class were randomly establish as the research sampel. Later established the first experimental class and second experimental class. This research was quasi eksperimental study using the pretest and posttest with no-equivalen group design. The instruments used in this research were test and quisioner of students' attitudes towards in mathematics. The data analysis techniques consist of manova to investigates their difference by t-T 2 Hotelling and continue to one sampel t-test to investigate the effectiveness of each learning approach and all of test use the 5% of significant level. The result of the research show that: 1) both of cooperative learning models are effective in terms of mathematics achievements and attitudes towards; 2) there are differences of attitudes towards among the students learning through the STAD and NHT learning models; and 3) the STAD models more effective than the NHT cooperative learning models in terms of student's attitudes towards. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membandingkan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Students Team Achievmant Deivision (STAD) dan Numbered Head Together (NHT) ditinjau dari prestasi dan sikap siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP N 1 Pudong kelas VIII yang dibagi menjadi dua kekompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen I dan eksperimen II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non-equivalen multiple-group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis multivariate (MANOVA) untuk menguji perbedaannya dengan t-T 2 Hotelling dilanjutkan uji one sample t-test untuk menguji keefektifan masing-masing metode pembelajaran dan semua berada pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran matematika dengan model kooperatif tipe STAD dan tipe NHT efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan sikap siswa; (2) terdapat perbedaan sikap siswa dengan pembelajaran tipe STAD dan tipe NHT; dan 3) tipe STAD lebih baik dibandingkan tipe NHT dalam meningkatkan sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika.
