Abstract

The objective of the study is based on analyzing environmental education and the promotion of effective environmental policies in the formation of responsible students in the care of nature. The methodology used was theoretical, aimed at deepening environmental policies in the face of the responsibility of educational actors for their compliance. Two components were analyzed: policies related to environmental education in order to evaluate the scope of responsibility for caring and protecting the planet, and education management aimed at protecting the environment in order to follow a path that promotes sustainable practices in the educational community. The existence of national and international policies to address human damage to the environment is an important advancement, as well as the evaluation and monitoring of these policies to ensure that desired results are achieved. It is concluded that, despite the existence of many environmental policies, their effectiveness depends largely on how environmental education is approached in each country; that is, success lies in educating the educational community about environmental awareness so that they can solve climate change and environmental degradation in the short term.
