Abstract

Introduction: Any experience or any project needs to assess its success or failure, and the extent to which the desired objectives are accomplished, and the degree of satisfaction and weakness of those who support it and its beneficiaries. Objectives: The study aims at evaluating the project of integration of students with special needs in the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) schools in Jordan along with the aim to contribute to program development. Hence, there is a need for such a study that sheds light on some aspects of the program by those in charge of its application. Methods: The study uses the descriptive, analytical approach. The sample consisted of 90 females working as school principals, regular teachers and special education teachers. Results: The research findings indicate that school teachers and principals possess a higher core knowledge when it comes to special education, simultaneously, the importance of basic principles needed for implementing the integration had also scored high from the school principals' viewpoint. However, from the teachers' perspective, implementing strategies required to support integration in schools had scored at the average level. Conclusion: The entire study's results conclude that the first evaluation study of UNRWA school was successful in general, although there are some obstacles and difficulties encountered in the application of the strategies needed to implement the inclusion.
