PENGUATAN NASIONALISME MAHASISWA MELALUI REKONSTRUKSI MEMORI KOLEKTIF MASA PERJUANGAN KEMERDEKAAN INDONESIA (1900 – 1945)

Abstract

Nationalism or love for the homeland must be owned by every Indonesian citizen who wakes up from a sense of equality and has ideals in the goal of nation and state. Students as the younger generation of the nation's successors should have a spirit of nationalism embedded in him. This research aims to reconstruct the collective memory of the struggle for Indonesian independence to restore the spirit of nationalism that began to fade in the generation of students, especially students. The methods used in this study are descriptive and historical methods. The results of this study are known to understand the importance of understanding nationalism, understanding the struggle for independence carried out by the Indonesian nation in 1900-1945, and reconstructing the collective memory of the struggle for independence as a basis for fostering nationalism for students. That way the reconstruction of the collective memory of the Indonesian independence struggle can strengthen student nationalism and understand the importance of unity so as to provide space for the creation of a stronger spirit of nationalism.
