Abstract

The idea that the planetary motion around the Sun, or rather the motions of all the celestial bodies of the Solar System around their common centre of mass may affect solar variability, is old and have been extensively discussed. It has remained a hypothesis, however. In a special issue of Patter Recognition in Physics 10 scientists enlightened the old concept in 12 separate research papers besides an introductory Preface and an ending General conclusions coauthored by 19 prominent scientists. It seemed the old hypothesis was now lifted to a quite solid theory, maybe even a paradigm.
