Abstract

A multilevel inverter with half bridge cells and seven switches is implemented for Solar PV based applications. The photovoltaic panels are employed to replace the DC sources and maximum power is ensured by employing a boost converter andPerturb and Observe(P&O) algorithm. The generation of switching pulses is carried by usingNearest Level Control(NLC) technique. The operating principle of the proposed multilevel inverter(MLI) is verified by utilizing different loads and the experimental results are obtained through prototype testing.
