Abstract

Development of a highly 'atom-efficient' production process for 2-alkylsubstituted benzenesulfonic acids by arylation of olefins with 2-diazoniobenzenesulfonate catalyzed by a homogeneous Pd-complex and subsequent hydrogenation of the resulting styrenes with an in situ generated heterogeneous Pd-catalyst.
