Nilai-Nilai Luhur dalam Ungkapan Tradisional Suku Dayak Halong Balangan

Abstract

This study aims to describe the noble values in the traditional expression of the Dayak Halong Balangan tribe and the relevance of these noble values to people's lives today. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interview, and literature study. In the technique of data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis, namely by analyzing the noble values one by one in the traditional expression of the Dayak Halong Balangan tribe and the relevance of these noble values to people's lives today. The next stage, make conclusions from the overall results of data analysis will use informal methods, namely by describing the results of the study in the form of words or sentence descriptions. From the analysis it was found that the noble values in the traditional expression of theDayak Halong Balangan tribe include: (1) noble values related to oneself, (2) noble values relating to others or humans in social sphere, and (3) noble values related to God. Meanwhile, the relevance of these noble values to people's lives today, which is very relevant because it becomes a social control tool. The noble values contained there in not only play a role in regulating behavior between individuals or communities, but also their relationship with God.
