Br?nsted acid sites partially confined at the intercept of micro- and mesopores in two-dimensional MFI zeolite nanosheets are effective for C=C bond-coupling and ring-closure reactions that transform light aldehydes into aromatic compounds. In their Communication on page?12886?ff., Y.-H. Chin et al. establish the roles of these sites and their environment in catalytic aromatization, and of interlamellar mesopores in the efficient transport and removal of products.
