Abstract
Abstract This research aims to determine the impact of damaged connectors on medium voltage networks, identify the frequency of disturbances in the medium voltage network after maintenance, and compare the reliability of power distribution before and after maintenance on the medium voltage network connectors. The methods used in this research include literature study, data collection, data processing, and data analysis. Technological advancements, accompanied by an increasing demand for electricity by the community, have made electricity an essential aspect of daily life. Therefore, power distribution must always be reliable. However, based on data from PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Manado Selatan in 2021, the power distribution is still unreliable and discontinuous due to 34 incidents of medium voltage network connector damage, resulting in a power supply disruption to customers for a total of 31 hours. Based on the research findings, it was observed that the damage to medium voltage network connectors has several impacts, including hindrance in electricity distribution, financial losses for PLN, and efficiency losses for customers. The frequency of connector damage incidents decreased after maintenance from 4 times in a 3-month period to 1 time in a 3-month period. The pre-maintenance SAIDI value was 4.79 hours/customer/quarter, while the post-maintenance value was 0.53 hours/customer/quarter. The pre-maintenance SAIFI value was 3.83 times/customer/quarter, and the post-maintenance value was 1 time/customer/quarter.maintenance SAIFI value was 3.83 times/customer/quarter, and the post-maintenance value was 1 time/customer/quarter.
