Abstract

The Cu and Ni derivatives of β-amino-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin react with sodium nitrite in THF by formation of 2-diazo-3-oxo-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylchlorins. The spectroscopic properties and some electrochemical properties of the synthesised compounds were investigated.
