Abstract
In this paper, the influence of the embedment depth of glass fiber bundle in mortar on its pull-out behavior was studied. The time-dependent pull-out behavior of glass fiber bundle in mortar at 28 d, 56 d, 84 d, and 168 d under natural curing was investigated. The results show that there are three stages of pulling out the fiber bundle from the mortar: complete elastic stage, debonding stage, and sliding pull-out stage. With the increase of embedment depth, the pull-out energy of the fiber bundle first increased and then decreased. The pull-out energy was the highest when the fiber bundle embedment depth was 15 mm. The greater the embedment depth, the lower the ultimate bonding strength of the fiber bundle. This is because the larger the initial embedment depth of the fiber bundle, the greater the bonding force between the fiber monofilament and the mortar, which is more likely to cause the fiber monofilament to fracture.
