Abstract
End users have to control the environmental variables and the appliances of their home, even when they are not at home. The intellectual house is a living development of the automation of the buildings, control, automation, ease of use of systems which gives human comfort, such as automatic lights and fans, security, automatic external lights, water tank level, fire alarm etc., In this article, I present a multifunctional, economic system of intelligent home control and monitoring. This system employs a Raspberry pi, which as ethernet and Wi-Fi which permit remote device control. The proposed smart home system broadcast sensor data to ThingSpeak which is a cloud platform and can receive commands, allowing many household appliances to be automatically controlled. To demonstrate and implement the feasibility, validation, efficiency of this smart home system, devices such as lights, fans, other appliances, and various sensors, including temperature, MQ2 and MQ7 gas sensors, motion sensors, BH1750 sensor were included into a prototype of the proposed home control system.
