Abstract

This research aims to describe the social behavior of children in orphanages from the ages of 6-12 years and to describe the factors that support and inhibit children's social behavior. The analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique by describing children's social behavior in several categories. The results of this research show that in several categories children's social behavior is good, bad and bad towards caregivers, peers, the environment and visitors. This is due to the child's lack of adaptability in the orphanage environment and the lack of parental love. This is because the orphanage environment is less comfortable for children and they do not receive parental love, which has always been an important role in the growth of children's character. This is also because caregivers are still unable to provide assistance to children and children who do not want to open up.
