Abstract

This article examines mixed convective flow of an Oldroyd-B liquid in a doubly stratified surface with heterogeneous-homogeneous reactions. Chemical reactions and thermal radiation impact are accounted for. Equal dispersion coefficients are considered for both reactants and autocatalysts. The representing nonlinear boundary-layer expressions through proper variables are changed into coupled nonlinear ordinary differential expressions. The obtained nonlinear systems are solved for the numerical solutions. Graphs are displayed to analyze the effects of physical variables on velocity, temperature, concentration and concentration rate. Local Sherwood and Nusselt numbers are computed and analyzed. Furthermore, the homogeneous and heterogeneous reaction parameters show opposite behavior for the concentration rate.
