Abstract
This study aims to analyze determinants of management optimization level and build a model relating to the management of marine natural resources/capture fisheries with social-economic approach in Bengkulu Province. The types of data collected in this study include primary data (as the main data) and secondary data (as supporting data), which are carried out by interview method, questionnaire method, focus group discussion method and documentation method. The data analysis method used is a qualitative analysis method (descriptive method). The results showed that through discriminant analysis method, a mathematical (quantitative) model was produced, namely optimization level of management of marine natural resources (Z), which was significantly determined by 6 (six) determinant factors (discriminant factors), namely the development of marine natural resource capture method (X3), quality of facilities in TPI (Fish Melting Place) (X7), quality of togetherness/participation in marine resource management (X15), ability level of optimization of catch marketing (X18), role of local customary institution (X19), and role of government institutions (DKP and OPD related) ( X21). The mathematical (quantitative) model that can be built is: Z = - 24.529 + 4.824 X3 + 1.098 X7 + 0.919 X15 + 1.370 X18 - 1.078 X19 + 2.400 X21.
