Abstract

With the intent of giving a contribution to the development of the domestic and worldwide forestry industry, this paper presents a brief economic history of the plywood panel since its inception until the present days. It is possible to expect a positive spiral for the wood-based panel market. The domestic business community anticipates a growth trend regarding the sector associated with the onset of major projects such as the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.
