Abstract

We report three cases of returning travelers evacuated from Algeria, Thailand, and Turkey by aero-medical repatriation, following overseas hospitalization in local intensive care units for accidental injuries or medical problems. All three patients presented with imipenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii infections. One died whereas two recovered. © 2011 International Society of Travel Medicine.
