Abstract

Having succeeded in the manufacture of agar-agar of good quality with good yield by the proposed method, the manufacture of crude agar from Gr. conf. which is the most important step in the said process was carried out on the industrial scale, confirming that the experim ental applications on industrial scale are more than equal to that of laboratory scale. © 1952, The Japanese Society of Fisheries Science.
