Abstract

Career awareness is an important thing to grow in elementary school children, before entering high school through career guidance programs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the career guidance program to increase the career awareness of elementary school children in the Singajaya Study Group. The research design used a pretest-posttest design, the research subjects were elementary school students in the Singajaya Study Group, as many as 27 students. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used a career awareness scale. Analysis of the data used is Wilcoxon. The results showed that the career guidance program was effective in increasing the career awareness of elementary school children in the Singajaya Study Group. Although the aspects of self-understanding did not experience significant changes, in the aspects of education and exploration, and career planning there was an increase between before being given treatment and after being given treatment.Kesadaran karir merupakan hal yang penting untuk ditumbuhkan pada masa anak-anak Sekolah Dasar, sebelum memasuki jenjang Sekolah Menengah melalui program bimbingan karir. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan program bimbingan karir untuk meningkatkan kesadaran karir anak-anak Sekolah Dasar pada Kelompok Belajar Singajaya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pretest-posttest design, subjek penelitian adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar pada Kelompok Belajar Singajaya, sebanyak 27 siswa. Teknik pengampilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kesadaran karir. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program bimbingan karir efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran karir anak-anak Sekolah Dasar pada Kelompok Belajar Singajaya. Meskipun pada aspek pemahaman diri tidak mengalami perubahan yang signifikan, namun pada aspek pendidikan dan eksplorasi serta perencanaan karir mengalami peningkatan antara sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan setelah diberikan perlakuan.
