Abstract

The treatment of acute acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) instability has continuously changed over the last decades. The tremendous progress in arthroscopic surgery now enables surgeon to treat these lesions using a minimally invasive procedure: however, these modern techniques have also introduced new problems and complications leading to an ongoing search for the optimal technique and time frame for surgical stabilization. The present article reviews the latest available evidence for the treatment of ACJ instability.
