Abstract

Japan's refusal to admit to the atrocities committed by its troops in World War II still undermines its standing in Asia and the world. Recently retired from a long-running campaign for greater academic openess, Professor lenaga explains his personal mission to bring the grisly germ experiments of Unit 731 into the light of day. His barrister Kinju Morikawa explains why the fight must still go on.
