Abstract

The macrocyclic biisoquinoline 14 was synthesized in just four preparative steps starting from the simple biscarboxaldehyde 8. The interaction with camphorsulfonic acid induces an acid-catalyzed partial deracemization. © 2008 Verlag Helvetica Chimica Acta AG.
