Abstract

A synergistic pest controlling compn. which can control a pest efficiently is provided. A pest controlling compn. contg. an amide deriv. such as N-phenylbenzamide, N-phenylpyridine-2-carboxamide, and N-phenylthiazole-4-carboxamide deriv. represented by formula [I; wherein A = C, N, N(=O), or S; K = C, N, etc.; X = H, halo, alkyl, etc.; n = 0-4; R1 and R2 = independently H, alkyl, etc.; T = (un)substituted aroyl, heteroaroyl, etc.; G3 = O or S; Y1 and Y5 = independently halo, etc.; Y2 and Y4 = independently H, etc.; and Y3 = haloalkyl] denoted by the general formula (1), and at least one kind chosen from other insecticides, an acaricide, and a fungicide is claimed. For example, the compd. (II) was prepd. in a multi-step synthesis. A compn. contg. 1 ppm II and 30 ppm chlorpyriphos sprayed on cabbage leaves exhibited synergistic insecticidal activity and gave 100% mortality to Spodoptera litura as compared to 90% and 30% mortality, resp., when II at 1 ppm and chlorpyriphos at 30 ppm were used alone.
