Abstract

This paper describes the results of a teacher training experience with a group of students taking the elective Emerging Technologies in Education (in the Maestría en Informática Educativa course at Universidad de La Sabana), whose aim is to "off er students a space for refl ection and conceptualization on main emerging technologies (ET) and their uses in education". Among the main results, we fi nd that students analyze, investigate and refl ect on the following ETs: Cloud Computing, Collective Intelligence, Data Mashups, Collaborative Webs and Social Networks. They also proposed defi nitions for each of these ETs from the academic point of view, and designed eight learning environments that integrate, in a pedagogical way, one or more ETs in diff erent educational contexts.
