Abstract

The basalts are typical oceanic tholeiite that seemingly crystallized under a crust of overlying water-saturated rocks which included ash. The ash represented alkali and tholeiitic basalts, plus olivine, Cr-diopside, spinel, and feldspar crystal fragments. (Following abstracts) -K.A.R.
