Abstract
This study presents a methodology to map the vulnerability to floods in different phases of the disaster management process at the municipality of Igrejinha, RS. A total of 10 indicators, distributed in 3 dimensions of vulnerability were used. They were spatialized through the use of the dasymetric method. By using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, 21 experts assigned weights of importance to each one of the indicators during two phases of disaster management: response and recovery. Finally, comparative maps were produced, using available geographic information system tools. As a result, it was possible to highlight the differences found between the phases of response and recovery, not only on each of the dimensions but also on the final flood vulnerability map.
