Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of a Cajón Flamenco workshop on building identity and enhancing self-esteem of imprisoned youth. The workshop was conducted with a group of 27 young men aged 18 to 20 in a rehabilitation and reintegration center of youth. An adaptation of the "Aspects of Identity Questionnaire (AIQ-IV)" was used to evaluate identity, and the Rosenberg scale was administered to assess self-esteem. Results showed that sense of identity improved both overall and in each of its dimensions after the workshop. By contrast, self-esteem did not show any statistically significant changes.
