Abstract
A systematic review of the Lepidostomatidae of China is provided, including the descriptions of 26 new species: Paraphlegopteryx morsei sp. n., from Henan and Zhejiang; Lepidostoma acutum sp. n., Henan; L. bibrochatum sp. n., Yunnan; L. bifurcatum sp. n., Sichuan; L. bispinatum sp. n., Zhejiang; L. brevibifidum sp. n., Hubei; L. brevipalpatum sp. n., Guizhou; L. buceran sp. n., Zhejiang; L. cervicorne sp. n., Gansu; L. cisflavum sp. n., Guizhou; L. directum sp. n., Yunnan; L. dolphinus sp. n., Zhejiang; L. dui sp. n., Guizhou; L. elaphodes sp. n., Yunnan; L. foliatum sp. n., Yunnan; L. huangi sp. n., Guizhou and Shaanxi; L. longipalpatum sp. n., Sichuan; L. lumellatum sp. n., Zhejiang; L. multicavatum sp. n., Henan; L. recurvatum sp. n., Yunnan; L. sichuanense sp. n., Sichuan; L. subtortus sp. n., Fujian and Zhejiang; L. surhamulatum sp. n., Guizhou; L. tiani sp. n., Anhui, Zhejiang; L. taurocorne sp. n., Taiwan; L. yunnanense sp. n., Yunnan. A key to species, figures and descriptions are provided for all 56 species of Lepidostomatidae presently known from China. Lepidostoma tridigitum (Yang & Wang, 1997) is recognized as a new synonym of L. longipilosum (Schmid, 1965). A lectotype is designated for L. arcuatum (Huang, 1957).
