Abstract

597-cap. Abstract This study aimed to determine the level of association between the investigative attitude and the argumentative exercise in students who entered the National University of the Altiplano, in the period 2022-II. Regarding the method, it is a study with a quantitative approach, of a non-experimental type, of a cross-sectional and analytical design and of a bivariate associative level. The sample consisted of 137 students from three Professional Schools: a) Economic Engineering (37 students), b) Systems Engineering (56 students), c) Geological Engineering (44 students). The type of sampling was for convenience, not probabilistic. The techniques that were applied were: the Attitudes Scale and the Structured Survey and the instruments were the Likert Scale and the Questionnaire. The mathematical model used to test the hypothesis was Spearman's Rho, since the data were heterogeneous or not normal. The results indicate that the level of relationship between the investigative attitude and the argumentative exercise was rho = 0.863. Likewise, it was found that the argumentative exercise of the students is studied in 74.4% due to the investigative attitude; having 26.6% that is due to other factors. Similarly, it was found that with regard to the investigative attitude variable, 27% have a high investigative attitude, 42% have a moderate investigative attitude and 31% have a low investigative attitude. Regarding the argumentative exercise variable, 22% have an outstanding level of achievement, 46% have an expected level of achievement, 20% have a level of achievement in progress and 12% have a deficient level or are in progress. at an initial level. It was concluded that there is a high positive association between the investigative attitude and argumentative exercise variables, with a probability of minimum value (stochastic significance), which means that the greater the investigative attitude, the better the argumentative exercise will be in the students who entered the university.
