Residual currents in tidally dominated, well-mixed estuaries

Abstract

An analytical model is developed to investigate the residual circulation originating from the interaction of the density field, river flow, and the nonlinear rectification of the periodic tides, in tidally-dominated, well-mixed estuaries.
