Abstract

This paper describes the design and development of a Lightweight Language Learning Management System (L3MS) using Mobile Web technologies and APIs. The system aims at allowing language students to view and download learning content on their own mobile phones and to perform interactive tasks designed by the teacher. The usability of the developed system was evaluated and the results revealed a generally positive attitude towards using the system and high usability rates from both the teacher and students.
