Abstract
Stoichiometry is considered difficult to understand by students because of the characteristics of the abstract material and the many calculations. Students need to engage in self-learning to enhance their understanding. One characteristic of today's students is their preference for learning media with audio-visual formats, which they can achieve by using social media. Social media is effectively used for self-learning, like TikTok. However, we have not found any TikTok accounts related to stoichiometry material for class XI SMA/MA. Therefore, the goal of this research is to create learning media using stoichiometry material from TikTok and reveal its validity. The type of research is educational design research with the Plomp development model, which is limited to prototype II, covering the preliminary research stage and prototyping stage. The research was carried out at the Chemistry Department, FMIPA UNP and SMAN 9 Padang. The subjects of this study were 2 lecturers of Chemistry FMIPA UNP, 3 chemistry teachers, and students of Grade XI SMAN 9 Padang. We processed and analyzed the validation data using Aiken's V formula. A one-on-one session was conducted with three students. The result of one -to -one is that students are interested in media, and media can could increase student understanding.
