Abstract

The authors describe a patient with acromegaly who sustained spontaneous infarction of her tumour with resolution of her acromegaly after a massive gastrointestinal haemorrhage. She also developed the empty sella syndrome with intrasellar arachnoid herniation of cerebrospinal fluid.
