Abstract

A new method for computing pollutant concentrations in the presence of a totally reflecting inversion lid and ground surface has been presented. The method is applicable to gaussian plume treatments of line and area sources, in addition to the point source case illustrated here. The maximum error quoted occurs at the algorithm crossover point, which itself was chosen so as to minimize the maximum error.
